Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf (/graˈanti/ /tmɪz/ [guilty] [urge]) is a subtropical Small City located in the Trērgslij Principality of the Nika.
The name Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf is derived from the Sylvin language, as Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf was founded by Esther, who was culturaly Gnoll.
Climate
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a yearly average temperature of 2°C (35°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool -20°C (-4°F). Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf receives an average of 245 cm/y (96 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf covers an area of nearly 11 km2 (4 mi2), and an average elevation of 4514 m (14809 ft) above sea level.

Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf was founded durring the late 9th century, by Esther. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of premissive baked earthen streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The city rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's millitarily questionable fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the city as needed.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf ’s existence has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The people are clearly worried about something, and everyone is either wearing a weapon or has one close at hand. Your gut tells you it’s not mere fate which has caused this town to begin failing...

Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's parks.

Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's natural decorations nor waterways.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf.
The Giant cockroach near Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Transmutation energies of tier 2 via moments of science.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Wu-tǟ Prairie was struck by a drought when Lake Fewa grew too small to continue feeding Backwater Tolsea, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Graanti-tmïz Xluwuf lost 166 people, and 215 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 4 weeks, which are remembered as the Grieving Thirst.
